In 2014 the Great Lakes District Alliance Men reached out to Beulah Beach Campground. Beulah Beach is an Alliance Campground which is used by our district, the Central District and the Ohio Valley District. They were in the beginning stages of a major project which caused them to set aside some of the smaller, but still needed, projects for a few years. The Great Lakes District Alliance Men donated $8000.00 to cover the costs of building a pavilion, and a privacy fence. Then the men from around the district went to Beulah Beach to help build the pavilion, erect the privacy fence, cut and install aluminum trim on some of the cabins, cut down some dead trees and clean up the landscaping around the property. Over 219 man hours were spent working on the property through the spring of 2014.
We had seen first hand, what a tremendous impact this made on Beulah Beach. As well as how the men from various churches from round our district gathered together to assist with a worthy cause. This project is what caused us to look around our district and see what other needs the men of the church could help out with. It was this project that began our IMPACT Ministry. We are looking forward to see where God will take us next year.
